The word "trauma" comes from the Greek word for "wound," and that's exactly what it is - a deep, painful wound that can leave its mark on our emotional and psychological well-being.

Trauma is not just about the external events that happen to us; it's also about the internal repercussions of those experiences. It's the way we respond to those events, the way we process them, and the way they shape our perceptions of ourselves and the world around us.

When we experience trauma, it can lead to a sense of disconnection from ourselves and others. We might feel like we can't trust anyone, and that we're all alone in this big, scary world. It can distort our perceptions, making us see the world as a hostile and dangerous place. And, unfortunately, the wounds of trauma can linger, leaving us with a constant need to escape the pain it brings.

But here's the thing: trauma doesn't just affect us emotionally; it also affects our brain development, especially in children. It can make it harder for us to regulate our emotions and develop mature cognitive functions. And, worst of all, trauma can make us feel ashamed of ourselves, like we're inadequate and unworthy.

The good news is that there is hope for healing and transformation. By acknowledging trauma and its effects on our lives, we can start to heal and grow. We can begin to see that trauma is not a defining feature of our identity, but rather a part of our story that we can overcome.

Healing from trauma requires a journey of self-discovery and resilience. It involves aknowledging our past wounds, cultivating emotional resilience, and finding empowerment over our own narrative. It's not an easy journey, but it's a necessary one.

Through trauma informed hypnotherapy and self-care practices, we can navigate the complex terrain of trauma and emerge stronger and more self-aware on the other side. We can learn to cope with our trauma, to reframe our experiences, and to find meaning in our suffering.

So, if you're struggling with trauma, know that you're not alone. There is hope for healing and transformation, and it starts with taking the first step towards recovery. Remember, you are stronger than you think, and you are capable of overcoming even the toughest challenges.

In the end, the journey towards healing and transformation in the face of trauma is a powerful one. It's a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and growth. And, with the right support and mindset, you can emerge from it stronger, more compassionate, and more empowered to navigate life's challenges.

Golden Thread Trauma Process - EMDR - Heartmathâ„¢ - Memory Reconsolidation

What is Trauma?

Trauma is how our body and our Nervous System responds to an experience.

It is the response, not so much the event itself.

You may have seen or heard of situations where people have experienced the same traumatic experience but respond in difference ways.

It occurs as a sort of overwhelm to the system, whether it be Physical, Mental, Emotional or Spiritual.

Without healing or processing trauma can grow and present itself as Physical Pain, Weight gain, Illness and Mental health issues, habits and behaviours.

A Session with Justine is around 1.5 hours. Feelings that come up through the session are worked on and then the session ends with hypnotherapy leaving in a good space.

Using Justines own protocol, The Golden Thread Process. we do not need to talk through about any Trauma or past experiences. We do start chatting about how you are feeling now just to find triggers and shift what is needed.
